His Righteousness

Dear friend,

While studying for my Master’s in Family Ministry our class was instructed to watch the movie Schindler’s List. I was reminded of the main character in the movie, Mr. Schindler, a business man, who was inspired to save as many Jews during World War II from the terrible and unforgettable atrocities of Nazi Germany. What took place in Europe during World War II was evil at its worst. One can’t help compare Nazi Germany with the devil’s league. At present, our world is in the mist of so much evil and we need to do what we can to save those afflicted by it.

I started blogging to help others come to Christ. I serve God in many ways; in one way by praising Him with the fervent desire to point anyone reading my blog to Him and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; to save everyone from the evil one and win them over for Christ.

The stress brought on by all the trauma in our world today has people very concerned and wondering why God would allow pain and suffering, especially to children and the elderly. You can blame God because He can take it but please, do not blame God. Instead recall how our world fell into such turmoil. Recall the story of Adam and Eve and how they lost paradise for us.

Jesus came to redeem us but we must do our part by asking God’s forgiveness and His mercy. Remember God’s promise: ^14 “if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Friend, reflect on this promise from God daily and make prayer a way of life for yourself and your family. God deserves our love, our obedience and our prayers.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, fill us with your Holy Spirit to guide us and direct our lives towards good and to avoid evil. The devil has his way with us when we live our life without including you and your Word. Life is too precious and we owe it to you to fulfill our lives as you will for us. Thank you for your great love and mercy. Help us to be strong and to help others avoid evil and to remain faithful to you, Lord of lords! We humbly ask this in the name of your Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ who asked us to pray:

Our Father who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
¹⁰ Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
    On earth as it is in heaven.
¹¹ Give us this day our daily bread;
¹² And forgive us our debts,
    As we also have forgiven our debtors;
¹³ And lead us not into temptation,
    But deliver us from evil. Matthew 6:9-13
