Dear friend,
My Church parish has been running a Rebuild campaign that began back in March and will run through the Easter season. Each week we pray for a special need for our parish and for our world. These past few weeks we have been focusing on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. The Catechism of the Catholic Church states that in:
1830 The moral life of Christians is sustained by the gifts of the Holy Spirit. These are permanent dispositions which make man docile in following the promptings of the Holy Spirit.
1831 The seven gifts of the Holy Spirit are wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. They belong in their fullness to Christ, Son of David. They complete and perfect the virtues of those who receive them. They make the faithful docile in readily obeying divine inspirations.
These are very powerful gifts, not only because they are gifts from God, but because they become your source of strength in times when we experience spiritual battle. Dear friends, we are in a time when spiritual battle is happening all around us and we all need the many gifts that God provides.
I invite you to look into each of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Take time to really study them but before you begin your study, pray this powerful prayer: ‘Come Holy Spirit, come’. You will be blessed and comforted with the time you devote to your studies.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, fill us with the discipline to take on the study of your gracious gifts of the Holy Spirit. We know our world needs help oh Lord. If each and every one of your children were to take up these gifts and apply them to our lives, our world would be a more loving and Christlike world to live in.
God continue to be with the people of the Ukraine.
We humbly ask this in the name of your Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen
May God be with you and may He continue to protect and guide you and yours!
