Since the 2020 pandemic began, time has become very precious – it almost seems to have slowed down offering us a chance to reflect on our lives; who matters, what matters. It’s raised questions about our future maybe even about what the hereafter will be like.
During my chaplain experience many of my cases were to minister to the spouse and family members of a loved one who was brought to the hospital in an ambulance dead on arrival or after unsuccessful resuscitation. Often the spouse or partner would share with me that this wasn’t in ‘the plan’ that they had too much unfinished business to take care of.
I couldn’t help but think that it wasn’t in their plans but it was in God’s – a situation came about to help those whose lives were deeply affected to stop and think – to re-evaluate their life’s values.
In Matthew 6:33 Jesus tells us “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness…” so come, walk with me, I would be honored and thrilled to grow with you in our understanding of and love for God and His son Jesus Christ.
