His Righteousness

Dear friend,

So often we go about our daily lives concerned about our families, our health, the health of our family, our finances and the list goes on. We’re human so naturally we will stress about these things at times but when you’re feeling particularly troubled remember what Jesus said,

²⁸ “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. ²⁹ Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. ³⁰ For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30  

Another comforting remedy for a troubled soul is to count your God given blessings. We don’t realize how many of these blessings we have until we begin to count them, in part, because this material world of ours would have us believe that we can never have enough; that we will never be truly happy if we don’t do this or if we don’t buy that. This kind of worldly thinking only causes more personal anxiety.

Do not let such worldly thinking confuse you. Here again, keep in mind what Jesus said,

^“I have said this to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, be with me when I doubt that all will be well; that you are watching over me and my loved ones. Help me to be ever mindful of all my many blessings and that true happiness lies in my knowing you and all you desire for my life. Watch over my family, keep us safe and content with life as we know it. Protect us from the many temptations that keep our mind and hearts away from you.

Watch over Pope Francis as he recovers from surgery.

Bless and protect the people of the Ukraine and all those fighting to help them keep their freedom and their country.

We humbly ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
