Dear friend,
God is amazing, He’s beyond amazing! Great men and women have tried to explain Him but we will never comprehend who God is and all His amazing powers. This is where faith comes in. God simply asks us to believe in Him and His desire to make a better world for us, all of us.
By questioning God, His strength and His wisdom, we are setting ourselves up for doubt and through doubt the devil will try to win us over and in too many cases he does. Do not give in to doubt but trust God. Trust that He is working for your good and the good of all. To really trust we need to do our part. We must believe and follow His commandments and statutes and His judgements.
It was not God who caused our world to collapse but Adam and Eve who gave into their pride and their selfishness. Instead of rejoicing in the garden of Paradise they gave in to the temptation of the devil who convinced them that they could be as good or better than God if they would only eat of the fruit of the tree of life. So, instead of obeying God they went along with the devil and the rest is history.
Do you think you’re better than Adam and Eve then put yourself to a test. The next time you are up against a temptation, even a simple one, be aware of your actions. Perhaps you promised to take care of your ailing mother or father but you found every excuse in the book not to follow through. Perhaps you promised to spend your money wisely by following a budget and yet one day you go shopping and find that you just can’t resist that pair of shoes. By giving in to your desires and not God’s you are giving in to the devil.
So how can you avoid those temptations? Call upon the Holy Spirit, 24/7, to give you the strength to overcome the temptation. When you fail God, you are in fact failing your true self. Keep in mind that God only wants you to have a better life but you need to want it too. Pray, Come Holy Spirit come.
Prayer:
God our Father, watch over us, continue to instill in us the discipline to do what is right and just. We are so very grateful for all the blessings you have bestowed on us. Bless the fathers in our lives and the father-figures. For those lacking a father’s guidance let them know that they can turn to you for like a true father you only want what is best for us. We thank you for your love and mercy. Watch over us and be with us now and for always. We ask this in the name of your Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen
God almighty Father, please continue to be with the people of the Ukraine.
