“Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.” John 20:29

Dear friend,

In this past Sunday’s Gospel reading, Jesus’ disciple, Thomas, would not believe that the disciples had seen the Lord. He told them that, “unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands and put my finger into the nailmarks and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” So, when a week later, Jesus’ disciples were again inside and Thomas was with them, Jesus came, and only then did Thomas believe. Jesus said to Thomas:

Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed”.

I believe, that when we truly get to know God, especially through His Word, and then open our minds and hearts we will truly believe. The devil loves when we doubt so do not give him the satisfaction. Hold on to your faith and feed your soul with God’s Word – His Truth for your life and you will be blessed.

What is your definition of believe? Do you have an open mind and heart to accept that Jesus is our one true Savior? Pray about it. Open your mind and your heart to God’s Word – His Truth. Then pray this simple prayer to the Holy Spirit, ‘Come Holy Spirit, come’.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank you for your love and mercy. Fill us with your grace and the discipline to delve into the Bible that we may be inspired to share your Word with others.

Continue to watch over the Ukraine, its people, the leaders and those fighting for an end to this senseless war. Bring peace to the people of the Ukraine and give them the strength and resources to rebuild their lives and their country.

We humbly ask this in the name of your Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen

May God be with you and may He continue to protect and guide you and yours!

Peace, love, joy and thanksgiving in Christ Jesus, our Savior!
