O Lord, hear my voice, for I have called to you; be my help. Do not abandon or forsake me, O God, my Savior! Psalm 27 (26): 7, 9

Dear friend,

I was on a little sojourn and I missed you but was always praying for you and am so very happy to be back.

Today’s second reading is taken from the second Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians 5:6-10

‘Brothers and sisters:
We are always courageous,
although we know that while we are at home in the body
we are away from the Lord,
for we walk by faith, not by sight.
Yet we are courageous,
and we would rather leave the body and go home to the Lord.
Therefore, we aspire to please him,
whether we are at home or away.
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ,
so that each may receive recompense,
according to what he did in the body, whether good or evil.’

It’s an exciting time right now that more and more people are being vaccinated and that soon we’ll be able to live a more normal life style. Still let us never forget the dedication and courage of all those who fought risking their very lives to help those who were stricken with COVID especially early on when little was known about the ways we could treat it. At that time many walked mainly by faith. Let us never forget the prayers that were being said and are still being said for all those involved, especially, the afflicted and their families.

God loves us so much and rejoices when we pray and seek His counsel so, my dear friend, continue to be courageous and righteous. Pray for yourself, for your family and for our worldly family that we continue to be there for one another. Some day we will all appear before the ‘judgement seat of Christ’ and we will be proud of how much we loved Him by how much we helped those in need. So much more good was being accomplished to overcome evil.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, look with favor upon your children; continue to fill us with courage and the desire to be patient, kind and helpful. Help us to walk by faith, not by sight, knowing that you are with us always, especially, in times of trouble and pain. Continue to bless those who are still fighting the virus and those who are helping them through it. We ask this in the name of Christ our Lord, Amen

May God be with you and may He continue to protect you and yours!

Peace, love and joy in Christ Jesus, our Savior!
