‘The stone rejected by the builders has become the cornerstone’. Psalm 118:22

Dear friend, the First Reading of this past Sunday is from Acts 4:8-12: and I’ve posted it here for you:

Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said:
“Leaders of the people and elders:
If we are being examined today
about a good deed done to a cripple,
namely, by what means he was saved,
then all of you and all the people of Israel should know
that it was in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean
whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead;
in his name this man stands before you healed.
He is the stone rejected by you, the builders,
    which has become the cornerstone.

There is no salvation through anyone else,
nor is there any other name under heaven
given to the human race by which we are to be saved
.”

There is no salvation through anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to the human race by which we are to be saved.” powerful words to remember and live by.

We are like the healed cripple in the above Reading only we are crippled with sin and Jesus Christ the Nazorean healed us by dying on the Cross for our sins. It is only right that we live in His truth and light so that we may live righteously and when our time comes, be with Him for all eternity.

I looked up righteously in the dictionary for some of it’s synonyms and here are a few of my findings: virtuously, rightly, justly, blamelessly, honorably, uprightly, honestly. I wonder how well we live out these virtues in our daily actions? Every Christian should examine their conscience each and every day to determine how righteously they’re living their life, from moment to moment, from day to day. To help us, we must place Jesus at the cornerstone of our lives assuring that our life will be solid and righteous! Remove Jesus as your cornerstone and your entire life could collapse. It’s up to you.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help us to be ever mindful of Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross; a sacrifice made for our salvation – a huge price to pay for sinners. Help us to keep Jesus as the Cornerstone of our lives and to live each day righteously; living out Your Word and Your Truth. We humbly ask this in the name of your Son, our Lord and Savior. Amen

May God bless you and yours and keep you all in HIs loving care!

Peace, love and joy in Christ Jesus our Savior
