“Beloved: When the kindness and generous love of God our Savior appeared, not because of any righteous deeds we had done but because of His mercy,” Titus 3:4-7

Dear friend,

This weekend we celebrated the Fourth Sunday of Advent, please take the time to read Sunday’s readings, the second Book of Samuel, 7:1-5, 8b-12, 14a, 16, Psalm 89, The Letter of Saint Paul to the Romans 16: 25-27 and the Holy Gospel according to Luke 1:26-38.

Many wondrous celestial events took place this week, some of which have happened periodically in years past. The Star of Bethlehem was a very spectacular event that appeared in the heavens many years ago where the baby Jesus was born, this miraculous star guided the Three Wise Men to where Jesus laid in a humble manager.

My friend, could you be a ‘Star’ for Jesus and guide people to Him that they may get to know Him and His great love for all of us? I hope and pray you can and you will.

Additional Bible readings are the readings for Christmas Day, Isaiah 62:11-12, Psalm 97, Titus 3:4-7 and Luke 2:15-20. Also, Isaiah 11: 2-3

Prayer for the Week:

Dear and Glorious God, thank you for the many gifts you have given to us all these years. Not so much the material gifts but the Gifts of the Holy Spirit: Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, Counsel, Fortitude, Piety and Fear of the Lord. Gifts that will aid us and guide us to grow closer to you. Help us to be every mindful of these gifts even through hard times. Fill our hearts with patience, peace and love and to be ever mindful of the needs of others. We love you Lord God and humbly ask these things through your Son, our Lord and Savior, born on Christmas Day to save us from sin and death. Amen!

May you and your loved ones have a very Merry Christmas!

Until the next time, may God bless you and yours and keep you all safe and in His loving care!

BIG CHRISTMAS HUGS and may many blessings go with you!

Peace, love and joy in Christ Jesus!
