Romans 5:1 “Therefore, since we are justified – made righteous – by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Dear friend, I pray this finds you and your loved ones safe and in good health.
As we continue to deal with the pandemic, we find ourselves searching for ways to make ourselves happy and feel good. The problem is that some of our methods of bringing on happy feelings are fleeting, lasting for a short time and then we find ourselves searching again for something new to bring about that blissful state.
Dear friend, try this, ask God to be an important part of your life, accept His righteousness, then and only then, will you will find deep down soul satisfying, true peace, true happiness. External pleasures will be welcome but if they don’t come your way you won’t be disappointed, if you truly believe and have strong faith, you will feel God’s love flowing through you securing your happiness.
E. W. Kenyon author of a wonderful book, Two Kinds of Righteousness, writes, “Very few people have any faith in their righteousness in Christ. They have faith in their weakness and their lack of ability, but few have any faith in the thing that God has made them to be. This is an unhappy fact. Until we have confidence in our own standing before the Father, in our own righteousness in Christ, we will never have faith that will bring blessing to ourselves and others.” Kenyon, E. W., Two Kinds of Righteousness 1942 New Kensington, PA 15068 Whitaker House, p. 121
Take heart, have faith, and be confident that as a devoted and loving child of God you will be fulfilled and utterly content.
Bible Reading for the Week:
Ephesians 4:23-24 23 “and be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and put on the new man, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.”
Our prayer for the week:
Dear God in heaven, we were created in your image an image of love, happiness, peace, joy – all these values and more – how could we not be happy and content with our life even through these uncertain and precarious times. Please help us through this devastating pandemic, help us to know that true happiness is found in you, then help us set the example of your love reminding our family members as well as strangers that they have the same love and that they only need to seek your face and search within to honestly and truthfully feel genuine happiness.
Until next week, may God bless you and yours and keep you all safe.
BIG HUGS, continued thoughts and prayers and many blessings go with you!
Love in Christ Jesus, Marie
