Proverbs 12:28 “In the path of righteousness is life but the way of error leads to death.”
Dear friend, much fear has arisen since the pandemic especially the fear of dying so relieve your mind of death by living your days following the path of righteousness. Righteousness is the perfect holiness of Christ and only the righteousness of Christ will enter His Kingdom and eternal life. So simply stated, when you are on the path of righteousness you truly have nothing to fear – Jesus said that ‘who follows the laws and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven’. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Also very comforting are found in the words of Pastor E. W. Kenyon; ‘The instant a man knows that he is the righteousness of God in Christ, and knows what that righteousness means, Satan is defeated.” —E. W. Kenyon We need to keep Satan as far away from our lives as possible so seek God’s righteousness; protect yourself and have no fear.
Dear friend, close your eyes breath slowly and quietly meditate on pursuing a Godly character. Trust God to lead you on the path of righteousness.
Additional Bible verses for the week:
Proverbs 2: 6-15
6 For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
7 he stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
8 guarding the paths of justice
and preserving the way of his saints.
9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice
and equity, every good path;
10 for wisdom will come into your heart,
and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;
11 discretion will watch over you;
understanding will guard you;
12 delivering you from the way of evil,
from men of perverted speech,
13 who forsake the paths of uprightness
to walk in the ways of darkness,
14 who rejoice in doing evil
and delight in the perverseness of evil;
15 men whose paths are crooked,
and who are devious in their ways.
