Matthew 6:33

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness…”

Dear friend,

Welcome to my first inspirational blog and thank you for accompanying me on this amazing journey in getting to know God, His righteousness and His immense love for us.

Getting to know God can and will help us deal with life’s challenges and certain situations that often, no matter what we attempt to do, eventually become out of control.

In an article entitled Righteousness in God in Christ Jesus from the Spirit Filled Catholic web site it describes righteousness as: ‘It’s a mouthful, but one of the most powerful themes of the BIBLE. Righteousness simply means “being right” with God. Jesus came to the earth to make us right with God. When we learn that we are reconciled to God or made right with him, we are in a position to receive all of the blessings and promises of God. The New Testament says that all of God’s promises are ours in Christ. When we know we are in right standing with God we become aware that we can ask him for anything. We have confidence that he hears us.’ (https://www.spiritfilledcatholic.com/who-you-are-in-christ/righteousness-of-god-in-christ-jesus/)

Further in my research on the subject of God’s righteousness, I found that the word ‘righteous’ is written 558 times in the Bible. (https://activechristianity.org/29-eye-opening-bible-verses-about-righteousness).

For a successful and fulfilling journey each week, I will address these Bible verses then ask you to read each one, to reflect on the importance of it and through prayer, ask God to help it become a sincere and genuine part of your life.

So, are you ready? Let us take that journey to get right with God.

Our prayer for the week:

Heavenly Father – fill us with your love and mercy. Help us to get to know you and how much you love us, how you want only the best for us including knowing your righteousness and your plan for our lives so that when our time comes we may gain eternity with you in Heaven. Amen
